Pals for Paws is a 501C3 not for profit animal rescue. We are a 100% volunteer crew, every dollar we take in goes directly into caring for those we rescue. We are a no-kill organization. Every animal we take in is spayed or neutered, fully vetted, micro-chipped, and heartworm tested. We treat all non fatal illnesses and fix all broken parts no matter the cost. We also obtain grants to help with low cost to free spaying and neutering in our area. Pet overpopulation is a huge problem that plagues this area. We are working diligently to educate the public so we can get control of this issue. Our local shelter is a high kill, with somewhere around 75% of the dogs, and 90% of the cats taken in are euthanized.
Pals for Paws helps an average of 1000 dogs a year acquire forever homes. We also assist with the transport of animals from other shelters and rescues from state to state. We have taken in animals from disaster areas such as Hurricane Katrina. Pals for Paws operates solely on donations and adoption fees, we do not receive any government funding. Due to the economic conditions in our area we have seen a large increase in the number of dumped out and displaced dogs due to job and home losses. At the same time we have also experienced a decrease in the donation amounts as people do not have the extra funds available to give.

We are in need of food, bedding, monetary funds to help with medical bills, foster homes, and any other products that are associated with animal care. Any additional help allows us provide assistance to more homeless animals. Any assistance we can obtain would be greatly appreciated, and all products and money donated goes directly into caring for homeless animals. Our motto is “Homeless, not Hopeless.” Thank you for your consideration.
